The miracles Jesus enumerates are all spectacular in their outcomes and are the cause of great joy. They are things most people never accomplish. The good news being proclaimed to the poor, is equally so. Recently while ministering in Uganda I had a glimpse of what this means as I met with a group of pastors who have given themselves to serve God’s people. They shepherd flocks of believers living in very difficult circumstances.

God comes near sometimes to see if we reciprocate His desire for us. He shows Himself enough for us to know He is with us in the hope that we will engage with Him even more.

Do you know that you were chosen for a specific reason and purpose? If you have ever doubted that your life has purpose, it’s time to destroy that lie once and for all. Most of us at some stage revisit the question,“What is my purpose?”

Some time back I began to think about what God is doing in the earth. The question sprung up from the idea about how Jesus said and did things.

God links seemingly unrelated events as cause and effect relationships that we don’t easily track on earth. Things we may believe He has forgotten, secret things we did where no eyes but His were watching, He often rewards in unrelated ways.

I don’t think any of us could have predicted what it would look like to navigate our people through this time. We are certainly sailing through unchartered waters! Whether we are leading a business, a ministry, a school or our families, people are looking to us to make decisions we might not have had to make before. Along with the decisions we are called on to make, our people are also eager for words of encouragement and hope.
