You Have a Purpose!

Do you know that you were chosen for a specific reason and purpose? If you have ever doubted that your life has purpose, it’s time to destroy that lie once and for all. Most of us at some stage revisit the question,“What is my purpose?” It is a good question to ask, and one that our heavenly Father loves to answer.

One of the definitions of the word, anoint, is to choose someone or something for a particular job or purpose ( Cambridge dictionary ) Let’s look at this verse:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, and he has anointed me to be hope for the poor, freedom for the brokenhearted, and new eyes for the blind, and to preach to prisoners, ‘You are set free!’ I have come to share the message of Jubilee, for the time of God’s great acceptance has begun.” Luke 4:18-19 TPT

Because the Holy Spirit is in us we too have been chosen and anointed to do the same!

Whatever sphere God has us in, we were created with purpose to proclaim the good news of His amazing Grace and set people free from the lies of the enemy. Our purpose is to bring people out of captivity and open eyes  to see the love of God. So many are bound by rejection and bitterness and fear but He has chosen you and me to bring healing to broken hearts, and hope to the hopeless. He has chosen us to bring His joy into places of sadness and to make strong that which has grown tired and weak ( Isaiah 61:3 )

Never doubt again that you have purpose! No matter what your context is, you have been chosen to make an eternal difference in the lives of the people around you and you are equipped and qualified to do this because of Him who lives in you!
