“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭16:18‬ ‭ESV‬‬

In these months where we have not gathered in our buildings & greatly missed corporate worship, we have also seen the church be the church in the most beautiful ways.

There are multiple stories of doctors on the frontline who have shared the gospel with their patients, and nurses who have held the hands of the dying. We have seen people receive anonymous financial gifts as they’ve prayed for provision in times of furlough. We watched people be encouraged by a timely word from a brother or sister in Christ and have been thankful for those we have personally received.

We’ve seen the body of Christ stand together in prayer & hold each other’s arms up. We have prayed with those who have fasted for 40 day’s praying for the Lord to make a way for children who have lost their parents to sickness. We have listened to a dear friend tell us how he walks seven miles everyday to his office to have access to internet so that he can preach to his people.

We have not stopped praying for our nation and those who are leading, as they are faced daily with both applause and criticism.

We have witnessed the Church rise in all her beauty & I believe like never before, we will see her rise in the power and authority she has been given.

Our buildings may have been closed but the Church has been wide open and powering on. No weapon formed against us can destroy what Jesus has built. His promise remains that He will build His church and the gates of hell will not prevail.

If you are leading in any sphere, thank you for the many hours you have put in to leading your church, your business, your ministry or organization. You are being the Church in the place God has called you to and not one effort has been missed by your Father in Heaven.

In times of persecution the Church only gets stronger. We will come out of this time and our buildings will open again and we will be stronger than ever as we move into a season of great power and Presence.

We look forward to meeting corporately again because we have certainly missed that so much. Thank you for being His hands and feet, for being the church. The Church will never close. The Church is wide open!
