He Knows Your Needs
There is no need, no matter how big or small, no heart's desire, that our Heavenly Father doesn’t see or care about. He knows what we need before we even ask and has abundant resources to provide for us. One thing I’ve learned about our God is that He is much more practical than we think.
In Judges 15, Samson has just killed 1000 men and he’s physically exhausted. He cries out to the Lord, acknowledging his victory but also feels like he will die of thirst. At the sound of his cry, God opens up a hollow place and provides water for Samson. As he drinks, his strength returns and he is revived. In 1 Kings 19, an angel provides bread and water for Elijah and tells him to eat and drink before continuing on his way. The food strengthens Elijah for the journey ahead. In John 6, Jesus takes a little boy's lunch, multiplies it, and feeds the multitudes.
All these are stories of a supernatural provision of natural resources. Samson needed water to quench his thirst and Elijah needed food to strengthen him for his journey.
We are all on different journeys. Whatever your story, I’m sure there are some very real needs you have.
So what do you need to strengthen yourself for the journey you’re on? There are no wrong answers, but there is an invitation from a loving Father who listens to our cries and loves to provide natural resource supernaturally. Bring your needs to Him and see what He will do.
“There is no need to imitate them, since your Father already knows what you need before you ask him.”Matthew 6:8â TPT
