We Hold The Keys

If you’re a parent of a teenager you know what it feels like to hand the car keys to your beloved child for their first solo drive after getting their drivers license. It is certainly good for your prayer life! At this moment, we are trusting them use these keys responsibly. My children have keys to my house, which means they have access to all that is mine.

Do you know that as a believer, you too have been handed a set of keys? You have access to all that belongs to your Heavenly Father. This is your inheritance. The keys we have been given unlock heaven on earth, and when we do this we align ourselves with the Kingdom.

These keys unlock the peace of heaven, anchoring us in the storms of life. They unlock faith causing us to pray with authority as we trust God for healing and provision and the moving of mountains. The keys of the Kingdom give us authority to unlock the wisdom and knowledge of heaven to know the Fathers heart. They give us authority to release justice and take a stand against injustice.

When I give my children my keys, I expect them to use them responsibly. These keys of the Kingdom were never meant to lie on the bottom of of our over packed purses or deep pockets. They are meant to be used every day as we unlock heavens peace and joy and provision and healing in our own lives and in the lives of others.

May I encourage you this week to pull out your Kingdom keys, given to you as a beloved child, and walk in what is yours!
